This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The views at Poás Volcano were absolutely breathtaking, and seeing the massive crater up close was an incredible experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fascinating information about the area’s history, nature, and culture throughout the day.
I especially enjoyed our visit to Doka Coffee Estate, where we learned about the coffee-making process and enjoyed a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch. Grecia was charming, and the famous Metal Church was unlike anything I’ve seen before. Sarchí was the perfect way to end the day, with its colorful artisan shops and beautiful handcrafted oxcarts.
The tour was well organized, comfortable, and offered a wonderful mix of nature, culture, and local traditions. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience some of the most iconic attractions in Costa Rica in a single day. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Discover the charm and beauty of Costa Rica’s Central Valley on this enriching journey from San José. Travel through scenic landscapes filled with coffee plantations, colorful farms, and breathtaking mountain views as you explore some of the region’s most iconic destinations. From the majestic Poás Volcano and the renowned Doka Coffee Estate to the historic town of Grecia and the artisan traditions of Sarchí, this tour offers the perfect blend of nature, culture, and authentic Costa Rican experiences. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or looking to learn more about the country’s heritage, this adventure showcases the very best of Costa Rica beyond the capital city.
Poás Volcano gives visitors a chance to see one of Costa Rica’s most well-known volcanic areas. The tour includes time at the national park, where guides explain the volcano’s history, recent activity, and how volcanic processes have shaped the surrounding region. It’s a good way to understand the geology behind the landscapes visitors see throughout the country.
The tour combines a visit to Poás with stops that highlight local traditions and agriculture. Guests learn how coffee is grown and processed, see the role it plays in Costa Rican life, and spend time in communities outside the main tourist areas. This creates a more complete picture of the region beyond the volcano itself.
